This course aims to create the basis for learning the main external therapeutic procedures of Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, bloodletting and acupuncture electrotherapy), which will allow us to know how they work and when to apply them according to traditional diagnosis and from the perspective of physiology, anatomy and Western pathology. Through multiple scientific investigations, the mechanisms of action of these therapies, which seek to restore the state of health from the outside of the body, are exposed. Due to its therapeutic possibilities, it constitutes a highly valuable resource, ensuring solid knowledge not only for treatment, but also for prevention and health promotion in basic and specialized medical care.
This professional development course is aimed at health professionals, physicians, kinesiologists, nurses, acupuncturists, chiromassage therapists, reflexologists, professional massage therapists, body therapists of any discipline, and the general public. No therapy can become a substitute for diagnosis and treatment by a physician or qualified health professional. Natural Therapies offer complementary alternatives and never substitutes, which are part of what we know as Integrative Medicine.
